From May 25 to 29, the 20th China West International Fair (CWE) was held with great fanfare in Chengdu. Weihang Technology made a striking debut at the Zigong Pavilion, showcasing the world’s first ducted-fan, high‑altitude tethered (with power and fluid supply) main‑mission firefighting drone—a revolutionary solution to urban high‑altitude fire‑fighting challenges—drawing keen attention from government officials, industry players, media, and professional visitors.

At the exhibition, Weihang Technology’s ducted-fan, high‑altitude tethered (with power and fluid supply) main‑mission firefighting drone drew a crowd with its distinctive design and cutting‑edge technology. As the world’s first dedicated firefighting drone engineered for high‑rise building fires, it leverages ducted‑fan jet propulsion to achieve precise vertical takeoff and landing. It currently delivers a lift height of 100 meters and a water‑discharge rate of 20–30 liters per second—on par with conventional fire trucks—while offering faster response times (its compact size enables it to reach the scene immediately and ascend to 100 meters within one minute) and greater deployment flexibility (it can be transported aboard fire trucks, allowing multiple units to operate in coordination across the same firefighting front). By addressing the key limitations of traditional fire trucks—insufficient lift height, slow response—and overcoming the low water‑flow rates of rotor‑based firefighting drones, this solution fills a critical technological gap in high‑rise fire suppression. The product’s outstanding firefighting performance has attracted numerous industry professionals, many of whom openly suggest that Weihang’s drone could become a game‑changing force reshaping the future of firefighting. They look forward to seeing it play a pivotal role in emergency rescue operations, helping to save countless lives that might otherwise be lost in the flames.

During the exhibition, government representatives from the Sichuan Provincial Government, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Zigong Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Bureau of Commerce, and the Investment Promotion Bureau paid on-site visits, highly commended the product’s technological innovation and social value, and discussed with the team plans to integrate it into urban safety‑related infrastructure development. In addition, suppliers of components such as bearings and electric motors, along with vehicle manufacturers, proactively reached out, expressing their intent to collaborate with Weihang. Local media outlets also visited Weihang’s exhibit to seek information and conduct interviews, widely promoting the company as a flagship example of new‑generation productivity at this year’s Western China International Fair.

As a global leader in eVTOL electric ducted‑fan technology, we will continue to invest deeply in core‑technology R&D, accelerate product iteration and upgrades, and drive the widespread adoption of intelligent firefighting equipment in complex environments such as supertall buildings, forest fire prevention, and chemical industrial parks. Looking ahead, we look forward to partnering with more industry stakeholders and government agencies to build an integrated “air‑space‑ground” emergency‑rescue system, harnessing the power of technology to safeguard every critical moment and protect lives.
