On the occasion of the 18th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, Weihang Technology, together with… “Ao Qin” “Ao Run” Actively respond “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond—Enhancing Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, and Relief Capabilities” In response to the call, we actively participated in the 512 disaster prevention and mitigation publicity campaign.

On May 10, the China Fire Rescue Academy, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, the Beijing Earthquake Administration, and other organizations, officially launched the series of events for the “2026 Disaster Prevention and Reduction Public Awareness Week,” focusing on technology-driven solutions, immersive real-world experiences, and public science education. In the “Technology Empowers—Building a Safety Barrier” technical exchange zone, Weihang Technology showcased its self-developed products. High-Altitude Tethered Main Combat Firefighting UAV System “Aoqin” with Ducted Fan and “Ao Run” low-altitude tethered combat firefighting UAV system with a ducted fan Making a stunning debut, it drew emergency management frontline personnel, faculty and students, as well as numerous citizens, who stopped to engage in lively discussions.

On-site staff explained to visitors that, as the world’s first high‑altitude tethered combat firefighting drone system equipped with a ducted fan, the “Aoqin” boasts a payload capacity of… 500 kilograms , Vehicle length less than 10 meters , Can arrive at the fire scene immediately, 3 minutes Complete deployment internally, 2 minutes Ascend to an altitude of 100 meters, and at 20–30 liters per second Its ultra‑high‑flow water jet delivers continuous firefighting, combining exceptional fire‑rescue efficiency with robust primary fire‑suppression capabilities. Addressing the persistent challenge of extinguishing fires in super‑tall buildings exceeding 100 meters, the “Ao Qin” system can be integrated with building‑mounted hoisting devices and rail‑guided systems. By tailoring equipment configurations and auxiliary strategies to different height brackets, it overcomes the conventional height limitations of urban high‑rise firefighting, enabling full‑height coverage, rapid and precise high‑volume water delivery, and sustained suppression of fires in supertall structures—thereby systematically resolving the global challenge of inadequate primary external‑attack firefighting equipment for such buildings. Meanwhile, the “Ao Run,” showcased alongside, serves as a flexible, responsive coordination unit, suitable for narrow‑space fire scenarios in urban villages, hutongs, and other tight alleyways, further expanding the range of primary fire‑suppression solutions for urban environments.

On May 12, the launch ceremony for Wuxi’s 2026 “Disaster Prevention and Reduction Public Awareness Week,” along with a disaster prevention, reduction, and relief knowledge competition, was held in Wuxi. The “Ao Qin” and “Ao Run” made another appearance, showcasing innovative firefighting and rescue equipment and collaborative solutions tailored for urban environments.

During the event, leaders from emergency management agencies—including the Jiangyin Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Wuxi Fire and Rescue Detachment—visited the site, observed full-scale scale models of “Ao Qin” and “Ao Run,” and engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives on high-rise fire‑fighting tactics and the practical application of drones.

During this year’s 512 Disaster Prevention and Reduction Public Awareness Week, “Ao Qin” “Ao Run” The dual-city debut is precisely Weihang Technology. Responding to the pain points of disaster prevention and mitigation with cutting-edge equipment. A vivid testament to this. With technology as our blade and real-world operations as our measure, Weihang will continue to rush to the front lines of emergency rescue, ensuring that China’s intelligent manufacturing becomes a reliable solution for urban fire suppression.

The event invites you to take a look back.

Weihang Technology

Weihang Technology is a technology company founded by Tsinghua University alumni, mastering internationally leading eVTOL electric ducted‑fan jet propulsion technology. Guided by the mission of leveraging technological innovation to make living safer and travel more efficient, the company is dedicated to providing cutting‑edge propulsion solutions for urban air‑mobility flying vehicles. In the near term, the company will prioritize addressing critical pain points in the emergency management sector, initially deploying next‑generation aviation‑grade jet propulsion technology in high‑rise fire‑rescue operations. It has pioneered a groundbreaking cross‑disciplinary innovation that bridges two strategic emerging industries—safety‑critical emergency response and the low‑altitude economy—offering a solution that can fundamentally address the global challenge of inadequate primary firefighting equipment in urban high‑rise buildings. Moving forward, Weihang will continue to research, develop, and deploy electric ducted‑fan jet propulsion systems and their associated flight platforms across domains including low‑altitude firefighting, emergency rescue, flying cars, and three‑dimensional transportation, striving to become a leader in the next generation of electric aviation propulsion systems.
