On December 26, 2025, the Sichuan Tianfu New Area successfully hosted the 2025 Sichuan Province General Aviation Power Industry Ecosystem Conference and the ignition ceremony for light‑weight aviation engines. The event marked a significant milestone in the development of Sichuan’s low‑altitude economy, signaling a key breakthrough by the Tianfu New Area in the field of general aviation propulsion. Beijing Weihang Technology Co., Ltd., as a representative of innovative enterprises in the low‑altitude economy, was invited to attend and showcased its high‑altitude tethered fire‑extinguishing drone system equipped with a ducted fan, named “Aoqin.”
The conference conveyed Application scenarios are a key driver of industrial development. the concept, noting that the Tianfu New Area has already established multiple routinely operated scenarios, including “Air‑120” emergency rescue and drone patrols, while Weihang Technology’s “Aoqin” firefighting drone is specifically designed to address Urban High-Altitude Firefighting This pressing challenge is effectively addressed by delivering an outstanding performance of continuous liquid discharge at 20–30 liters per second, enabling efficient firefighting in high-rise buildings and overcoming the longstanding fire‑fighting difficulties of urban skyscrapers—namely, being out of reach, difficult to extinguish, and hard to evacuate from quickly.
