As a new type of transportation geared toward urban air mobility and the future of personal travel, flying cars are increasingly attracting attention from both the automotive and aerospace industries. Recently, Dr. Qian Yuping from the School of Vehicle and Transportation at Tsinghua University, a member of Professor Zhang Yangjun’s team—the company’s chief scientist—delivered an online presentation titled “Flying Cars and Their Propulsion Technologies” as part of the school’s “Automotive Academic Salon” series. The talk provided a detailed overview of the demand driving the development of flying cars, outlined their three key performance requirements and core technologies, and offered a forecast of future trends.
